Cisco Certifications are professional networking certifications offered by Cisco Systems. To obtain the certificate, the applicant must pass the tests assigned to each certificate. The number of tests varies from one certificate to another, and the number of tests ranges between one as a minimum and four as a maximum for a single certificate. These tests are performed at Pearson VUE centers around the world. Cisco offers over 130 tests covering all areas of networking. The most popular Cisco certifications are those related to the tracks, most of the tracks grade to three levels, some grade to two levels, and some have only one level. There are also many specialized certificates in various fields of networking. CCNA technician level This is the first level of the Cisco certification, and the full name of this certification is Cisco Certified Network Associate. This certificate has 10 tracks, the last track that was added is electronic security starting from November 2016. In order to obtain this certificate, the applicant must pass the tests assigned to each certificate. The number of exams varies from one certificate to another. Some certificates require one test, and others require two tests. The applicant can apply for any track, as long as he fulfills the previous requirements - if any -. The validity of this certificate is three years from the date of passing the test. In order to renew the validity, the applicant must either take the same test again, or take another test of the same level or higher. If the applicant has a certificate in more than one track, passing only one test will renew the validity of all certificates, even those that require more than one test.
Router and Switch
CCNA Routing and Switching This certification is the primary key to obtaining Cisco certifications. Those with this certification can set up and install a small-to-medium-sized network from scratch. As this certification is the main entry point for networking learning, it is considered a bit nutritious compared to other certifications.
Network Design
CCDA holders can set up routers and switches, and they can provide broadband services. Obtaining this certification requires passing the CCDA 200-310 exam. The prerequisite for this certification must be met, which is to have at least a CCENT certification.
Cloud
This course is concerned with cloud computing. Where the student learns the basics of cloud design, and the virtual environment. Then the student learns to manage, monitor, and repair the cloud.
Subscription (audio and video)
Previously, this certification was called CCNA Voice, but now it has been combined with video technology and this path is called a subscription, that is, a subscription between audio and video. This track is divided into two areas, each area has a separate test. The first area is Voice over IP, where trainees learn the technology, protocols and devices used. The second area is online video, where students learn the technology, protocols, and devices used.
Data center
This course is concerned with data centers, where the student learns basic information in networks - just like Routing & Switching - and then learns how to build a virtual environment, storage, data distribution, and some operating systems.
Network security
This path is related to network security. Here, students learn the best ways to design a secure network, detect threats and threats, and address security issues, if any. Obtaining this certification requires passing the IINS 260-210 exam. The prerequisite for this certification must be met, which is to have at least a CCENT certification.
Service Provider
This track is concerned with service providers, where the trainee learns the basic skills that enable him to create a network for customers.
Wireless Networks
This path is concerned with wireless networks. In this track, students learn the basics of how radio waves work, as well as installing, setting up and monitoring wireless networks in a small business environment.
